Hope Awards Dinner 2009 At First Baptist Orlando, A Huge Success Every year, at the Hope Awards Dinner, we have the opportunity to honor the people who have made an impact at House of Hope in a profound and meaningful way. The 2009 House of Hope Award was presented to Frank and Agnes Reynoso. The Reynoso's have been loyal servants at House of Hope for over 15 years. Their strong Christian beliefs and hard work contribute daily to the success of our young people and their families. Also awarded during the dinner, Bob Emrick received The Heart of Champion Award. This is an award that is presented on special occasions to someone who has a heart for Jesus Christ, someone who is a personal influence on House of Hope. Bob has been a faithful volunteer with our boy's program for over 2 years. Volunteering twice a week to mentor, tutor and disciple. He is in good company, with other award recipients such as Michelle Akers, Glenda Hood, George Beverly Shea, and Tammy Trent among others. From the silent auction to the delicious feast, expectations mounted as the teens took the stage. The teens took us into their world has they presented "Cardboard Testimonies" with insights into their pain and healing. The evening was an absolute success and would not have been possible without Chad and Brigitte Cahill, the Chair Persons of the Dinner. As exceptional volunteers, Chad and Brigitte spent many hours coordinating all of the necessary pieces for a successful evening. The Cahill’s have agreed to honor us with accepting this role again next year and for that we are truly blessed! Thank you, Chad and Brigitte for all your hard work! House of Hope is glad to announce that after the success of the Hope Awards 2009, we look forward to further collaboration with First Baptist Orlando. Down to the last detail, First Baptist proved how wonderful a partner can be! And guess where our dinner will be next year??? First Baptist of course! Mark your calendar for our 25th Anniversary Dinner, February 20, 2010! | Top |
